Building at the Intersection of Security & Engineering
I'm a Computer Science student specializing in Cyber Security, with a deep passion for building systems that are both powerful and secure.
I'm Rohan Rastogi, a B.Tech Computer Science Engineering student at Galgotias University with a specialization in Cyber Security. But I'm not just a student learning theory — I'm an engineer building real systems.
My journey started with curiosity about how things work under the hood. That curiosity led me to set up my own servers, build full-stack applications, and dive deep into the security landscape. Today, I run a homelab with multiple VMs, Docker containers, monitoring stacks, and secure networking — all self-hosted, all self-managed.
“I don't just write code. I build secure, scalable systems.”
This philosophy drives everything I do. Whether it's a web application, a containerized service, or a network architecture — security, reliability, and clean engineering come first.
B.Tech Computer Science Engineering
Galgotias University
Specialization: Cyber Security
2025 — 2029
Focused on systems programming, networking, cryptography, secure software development, and practical infrastructure engineering.
What I Bring to the Table
Cyber Security
Security isn't an afterthought — it's the foundation. From threat modeling to secure architecture, I approach every system with a security-first mindset.
Full Stack Development
Building end-to-end applications with React, Next.js, Node.js, and TypeScript. Clean code, type safety, and thoughtful architecture.
Infrastructure & Self-Hosting
Running a production-grade homelab with Proxmox, Docker, and automated monitoring. I believe in owning your infrastructure.
Cloud & DevOps
Docker containerization, CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, and cloud services. Automating everything that can be automated.
Networking
DNS management, reverse proxies, Cloudflare tunnels, VPN configuration, and network-level security. Understanding the wire matters.
Linux & Systems
Daily driving Linux, managing Ubuntu and Fedora servers, shell scripting, and system administration. The terminal is home.
Open Source
Contributing to and building open-source tools. Sharing knowledge with the community and learning from the best engineers worldwide.
Continuous Learning
Technology evolves fast. I'm always exploring new tools, frameworks, and security methodologies. Certifications, CTFs, and hands-on projects.
